On March 15, 2012, Debra Hamilton, Program Director at the CHOP Leadership Institute, discussed ways to handle conflict in the workplace.
How do you handle conflict? Do you tackle it head on? Do you give in or avoid it? This one-hour workshop helped attendees to identify their conflict style and learn how to use it productively and effectively with others. Attendees also learned tips on how to assess and work with the conflict style of others.
The Postdoc Seminar Series is an hour-long session, offered on a bi-monthly basis during the academic year to CHOP postdoctoral fellows. The series includes a combination of peer scientific presentations and professional development topics included identifying funding opportunities, grant writing, scientific writing, communications skills, networking skills, career progression from postdoc to faculty, and alternate careers in science.
