Early Career Reviewer (ECR) Program

The Center for Scientific Review at the NIH has launched a new Early Career Reviewer (ECR) program, designed to train and educate qualified scientists without significant prior review experience so that they may become effective reviewers. ECRs will participate in a CSR study section meeting once a year for up to two years and have a limited role, serving as the third reviewer on two NIH grant applications each time. This lighter load will help ECRs stay focused on advancing their research and careers.
