The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Research Institute is pleased to announce that the call for applications is now open for its inaugural Pediatric Translational Research Workshop (PTRW) for Basic Scientists.
This program, taking place on October 14-18, 2013, is a five day, intensive learning experience designed to introduce early career researchers to the principles and fundamental elements of pediatric translational research. By employing a combination of didactic presentations, lectures, and clinical experiences, the PTRW aims to bridge the gap that exists between bench research and the clinic.
To be eligible for enrollment, candidates must be early-career researchers enrolled at or employed by a local research institution. In 2013, the PTRW will include 20 participants from the local Philadelphia scientific community.
The deadline for application is May 1, 2013.
