The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is ranked as the number one children's hospital in the nation. The Hospital's Research Institute (formerly the Joseph Stokes, Jr. Research Institute) fulfills the CHOP's long standing dedication to pediatric research and is a reinforcement of its "bench to bedside" philosophy. Today, the CHOP Research Institute is home to one of the largest government- and foundation-supported pediatric research programs in the country.
